The Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce aims to be the strong, unified voice of the spirited Los Gatos business community and as a catalyst for business growth and advocacy. The Chamber will act as a convener of leaders and influencers for dialogue and problem solving. The Chamber serves as a champion working to preserve the cherished quality of life in our Town by listening to the concerns of all segments of the community.

  • Leverage member surveys and exit interviews to assess needs and develop programs that provide meaningful business value.
  • Launch Member 101 Program and structured member check-ins to boost retention.
  • Strengthen member communications (direct messaging; improved website & newsletter) and personalized outreach.
  • Expand networking opportunities and launch relevant industry groups to boost member connections.
Success Measures
87% member retention by 2027; 5-6% annual membership growth; 40+ NPS satisfaction score with a stretch goal of 50+.

  • Design a partner-based Youth Entrepreneurs pilot program through which LGCC members provide mentorship.

10+ businesses offering internships annually and 20% increase in workforce participation by 2027. Given staffing constraints, we will focus on partnerships to support these initiatives rather than direct program execution.
Advance Town Vitality via Destination Marketing & Events

Tourism and major events fuel local spending, showcase Los Gatos as a premier destination, and strengthen community pride. Our signature events not only help define the town's character but also foster economic vitality.

  • Expand and improve the print and digital Los Gatos Destination Guide.
  • Elevate quality and renown of our major events to attract more attendees from across Bay Area while enhancing the experience for locals.
  • Launch marketing campaign/promotions in partnership with hospitality businesses to attract visitors for the 2026 Super Bowl and World Cup.

Pre-pandemic hotel occupancy in 2026 with 5% incremental annual growth; 10% increase in major event attendance by 2027; Growth in digital engagement, including 10% increase in social media followers and a higher engagement rate on Visit Los Gatos content. Monitor TOT revenue trends, and engage with the Town to advocate for reinvesting TOT funds into Chamber Destination Marketing.
Provide Advocacy & Policy Leadership

Strong advocacy ensures a business-friendly environment. We will champion policies that support economic growth and strengthen relationships between businesses and decision-makers.
Key Initiatives
  • Develop a Three-Year Advocacy Agenda/Policy Guide.
  • Host Business & Government Roundtables to foster dialogue.
  • Expand collaboration with regional policy organizations.
Metrics
25 business leaders actively participating in advocacy initiatives annually; 2+ Chamber policy priorities advanced or positively influenced by 2027; consistent member forums with town officials through at least two structured meetings per year.
